Born and raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Sarah was discovered at the age of 4 by an agent in an uptown restaurant. Two weeks later, she auditioned and won the part in a TV movie starring Jeff Daniels.
Not long after that, she appeared in a controversial Burger King commercial, in which her character criticized McDonald’s—which led to a lawsuit, appearances in court, and vaguely menacing threats from the Hamburglar. As a teenager, Sarah picked up work on the unapologetically gay-sounding Swans Crossing (Brittany Daniel) and as Susan Lucci’s long-lost daughter on All My Children.![]() |
